Menjangan – Beautiful Wall Diving

Menjangan Island is the Part of West Bali National Park, why the name is menjangan is because there is protected deers in this area and they called menjangan. Pos I Menjangan Bali

Why the name is Pos 1 (office one) is because there is small building for the government ranger officer stay to watch and protect the area around. The dive site offers the spectacular corals, sea fan and barrel sponge, as well as some small caves on the wall and covered by the reef. There is in some part you will see silhouette by the sun so beautiful from the wall and sea fan, when you descends to 20- 40 metres. POS II

The first entry point of the dive site has white sandy slope leads to the start of the wall at about 10 metres. You will find gorgeous soft corals here, sea fans and sponges. And an abundant colourful reef life: turtles, barracudas, schooling jackfish, nudibranchs and pufferfish. the visibility usually very good here, when you look at the sandy bottom the blue spot and eagle rays might sighted around. Garden Eel Menjangan Island

As the name, this dive site is the best place to see more than 1000 ell on the white sandy sand. Dive site is located at the northwest of Menjangan Island and you could reached by boat. In order to reach it you need to follow the wall west of the Anchor, navigate around the tip of the island and head almost into the channel between Menjangan and the Bali mainland. In the channel you will find an extremely rich and healthy coral across a shallow part which is full by garden eels and is known as a good spot for white-tip reef sharks, turtles and napoleon. Underwater Cave

Bat Cave point is the continue of post II point dive site, Usually we begin the dive from the Pos II point and drift until meet cave point, The cave just around 12 deep from the surface, the wall that’s exposed to the deepest waters around the island. So many schools of fish around the reef and the blue ocean, and if you’re lucky you may be see pelagics fish such as barracudas, whaleshrak, white and black tip reef sharks. Coral Garden or Temple Point

Bat Cave Point

Bat Cave point is located in the east of Menjangan island, on the surface there is the cave is full with bat. In the water usually you will do drift dive follow the side of the drop off. The wall is so awesome with the massive coral. In here you can see big ear sponge and huge gorgonian sea fan. ANCHOR WRECKS

Why the name is Anchor wreck is from an sink metal boat in this area. The boat seems sinked may have been transported slaves at the beginning of the 19th century, The two anchors are goes into the sediment and sand, one of the anchor is at 6 metres depth, and the other 32 metres deep. The boat is found between 35 and 50 metres deep, but the boat itself is hardly to see as it’s completely covered by the coral. Diving will start along a wall and goes to the slope. As this is often a deep dive, keep watching of your depth gauge and dive computer. Here you might see eagle rays or even whale shark.
