Try Scuba Diving is also a perfect option for you if you are not sure yet if you want to become a certified scuba diver. Yes, you have seen so many gorgeous pictures and cool videos of divers gliding along fantastic corals, colorful fishes, swimming aside turtles, and finding the actual nemo. but you are still unsure to commit several days of your already limited time in Bali to take the certification course. Try Scuba Diving program will let you sample scuba diving experience to see how you like it. You will find a different kind of adventure as there is a completely different world waiting for you underwater.
We start the program by learning the basics of scuba diving in a swimming pool, or a very shallow area from the beach. You will practice the skills together with our PADI Dive Instructor until you feel comfortable, and then it’s time for some diving out in the sea. As this is your very first time scuba diving, we will not go deep. The maximum depth is up to 12 meters, however you will be surprised of what you can see even in just shallow water. After a short break we will go for another dive, by now you would already be more comfortable and could enjoy the beautiful marine life more.
As Try Diving is an introductory program, we always dive in small group of no more than two guests per Dive Instructor. This way we make sure that you have a safe and fun experience. Our Dive Instructor will stay with you during the entire diving experience, to ensure your safety and comfort.
Your safety and comfort very much depend on the basic skills that you will practice together with our PADI Dive Instructor before we take you to the sea. These basic skills will enable you to enjoy your first time diving experience more.
During the basic skills practice, you will: learn how it feels like to be wearing scuba diving equipment, how to move around efficiently, and how to breathe underwater with your scuba diving equipment. It may take some time to getting yourself used to breathing underwater – it’s not something that we normally do anyway –, but you will be thrilled to know how easy you can see and breathe underwater with the diving equipment that you have.
After you feel comfortable and confident, then it is time to go to the sea. This is the highlight of the program: moving freely and breathing underwater is not something that everyone can do, so it is really a unique experience. Imagine yourself being able to see the corals and fishes really close to you, you will feel as if you are part of the marine life!
When you Contact Us with the date that you are interested in, we will get back to you in no time with the information of our availability. Simply tell us how much time you would like to spend, and then we shall discuss with you whether you want to do the Half Day Option, or the Full Day Option.
The Half Day Option would be conducted in Sanur, a relaxed seaside town in the southeast of the island. We pick you up from your hotel in the morning and take you to our dive facility for the basic skills practice. The consecutive dives would then be on the local dive site which can be easily reached with a very short 10 minutes boat ride from the beach.
The Full Day Option is in Tulamben, a small fishing village on the northeast of Bali, approximately 2.5 hours drive from Kuta or the airport area. Both options cost the same, but if you have more time to spend, the 2.5 hours drive to Tulamben is very well worth it.
Here we will dive the world famous USAT Liberty shipwreck that has sunk for more than 50 years and now is abloom with corals, fishes, and a wide array of marine life. Whichever Option that you end up choosing, we would not be surprised if at the end of the day, you would not want to get out of the water and want to stay with the fishes longer! Then now it is time to take the PADI Open Water Diver course and become a certified diver to explore more of what is beneath Bali’s underwater world.
